The Angry Therapist

John Kim (a licensed marriage family therapist) has created an online “public” practice and therapeutic community called The Angry Therapist. For $9 a month you have access to 9 different features: office hours, priority email, forums, free downloads of his books, articles, daily email doses, promoting your blog, donation based groups, and online programs.

I have been following his Tumblr for a while now and read his book called Transparency so I decided to join based on my new mindset for this year. Living in Vancouver has really shown me that there is immense competition and information that is constantly being multiplied by the Internet. I’m trying to focus less on others (minimal social media) and more on myself because for a long time I would be passive, trying to learn and see it all, but not actively doing anything. This blog is the first step to help improve my writing and foster creativity and creative projects. This is aided by reading articles and books about being productive, how to find your purpose, doing what you love, creativity, personality types, and tips on writing.

I highly recommend Transparency. I used it as a starting point to write down my goals this year and have it posted on my wall beside my door. Now I can see them everyday before I walk out of my room. Here they are:
